Lilly Pad Card Chain Challenge

I decided that I would like to participate in this card chain challenge that I found here. It sounded like a lot of fun and I do love to receive homemade cards. I decided for this card that I would use a sketch that I had saved. The patterned paper that I used was from GCD Studios and the cardstock was from my scrap paper stash. I used Eygptian gold embossing powder and a Stamps of life special edition stamp set that was given to members with their monthly stamp set to stamp on the green cardstock. I chose to go with the friendship theme and used a Hero Arts stamp set for the sentiment. I also used the color pallette that was given. Thank you for looking and I hope the recipient of my card enjoys receiving it.

FileKutz Design challenge

I learned about a great challenge using a cutting file here. I created the layout above using the cutting file with my Silhouette. I used my Silhouette with sketch pens to do the journaling. This was a fun challenge to participate in. I like the sketch and file.

Lily Pad card challenge

There is a challenge on the Lily pad card website to use a frame on a card so I created this special card using a new Lawn Fawn stamp set called "Say Cheese". There is so many possiblities for this stamp set. It is supposed to look like the old Poloraid camera films.

I used some K&Company paper to stamp the frame on. The background paper is from GCD Studios. I used some fun vintage cording that I found in a second hand store with a button from my stash. The sentiment is from a Stamps of Life set.

Lilly Pad Cards Color Challenge

On the first card I used the My Minds Eye Stella & Rose (Hattie & Mabel) papers. I stamped the scene using the current Stamps of Life monthly set onto Papertrey Inks kraft cardstock. The sentiment was from a TPC Studio stamp set and it was also stamped on Papertrey Ink's kraft cardstock and distressed with Tim Holtz mustard seed distress ink. The ribbon was from Making Memories and I used a button from my stash with some matching cording that I found at a second hand store awhile ago.

The next card I created for this challenge used the My Minds Eye Stella and Rose (Gertie) patterned paper. I used my Large Label nestabilities to cut out some Papertrey Ink cardstock and I inked the edges with Tim Holtz barn door distress ink. The houses that I stamped were from the current stamp of the month set that Stamps of Life is offering. I colored the houses in with my color pencils and used my Copic glitter pens for the windows. The flowers are from iamroses.com. The largest flower was colored using Key Lime Luminarte powder and the smaller one was colored using Lindy Stamp Gang's Magical Mica in the Tibetan Poppy Teal color. The sentiment was from the Stamps of life and stamped on Papertrey Ink's kraft cardstock.
