Challenge Card

I recently discovered a fun blog called "Use It Tuesday" where they pose a challenge of some kind and you need to use the things that we all tend to hoard. The theme was "Baby" for this week and so I decided to join in and create a card that I can use because I have a friend who has 3 little boys and is now expecting a girl. I used some Coredinations cardstock as the base. I then glued down a piece of velum paper that I had been hoarding from the K&Company Handmade speciality paper packs. I used my Spellbinders pinking circle dies and cut them out with white cardstock and then I used some of my twine that I had purchased off Etsy for the large brown one. The pink twine is some that I received from my monthly SP&Company kits that is sold in their store. I then added a Tim Holtz idealogy flower button to the brown circle and heart buttons from my stash for the pink circles. I had been hoarding this Tim Holtz button because it is just so pretty but Simon Says stamp & show blog is having an ideaology challenge this week so I figured I might as well use it on this card. The sentiment was from my SP&Company set called "Ultimate Sentiment II" set and was stamped with Colorbox razzberry ink.

Challenge card

I decided to create a card using a cute digital image from here. The sentiment that I stamped was from my monthly SP&Company stamp kit and it is called "Sympathy and Care". I thought it went perfectly with this image. I decided to emboss the sentiment because there is a challenge going on here which calls for embossing. I like how it makes the sentiment stand out on my card. I used some Mustard Seed distress ink to ink around the edges of the digital image. I cut around the digital image using a Spellbinders labels die. I colored in the image with my Copic markers. I used some yellow ribbon from my stash to tie around the card behind the image. The patterned papers I used were from the Echo Park -"This and That"-Charming collection from my monthly SP&Company kit. I used some clouds that I punched out of a paper scrap using my Fiskars cloud squeeze punch. Thanks for looking.

Sympathy card

I created a sympathy card for a good friend of mine's parents whose mother passed away. I used the wonderful new stamp set from my monthly kit club from SP&Company stamps called "Sympathy and Care". I love the font and the sayings that this stamp set has to offer. The patterned paper that I used was from the kit also and is the Echo Park-"This and That"-Charming collection. I stamped the sentiment using Gathered Twigs distress ink. Thanks for looking

Silhouette Sketch Challenge

I used the chevron background pattern, boys will be boys word art, and star shapes from the Silhouette store. I also cut the curve tab from my Silhouette using an dxf file. I used a Sizzix tags scallop #2 die and used peeled paint distress ink to ink around it. I used my Fiskars star squeeze to punch out My Minds Eye Lost and Found 2 breeze patterned paper. I used Fiskars Grandma Doily lever punch in M with Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue brad. Thanks for looking.

Market Street Stamp Block Party challenge

I have never tried any stamps from this company before but I follow a blog of one of their designers and they have some cute stamps. I joined in the block party and received their adorable digital stamp to play with. Here is the card that I created using the Big Scalloped Rectangles LG Spellbinder dies to cut out my digital images that I printed on cardstock. I then inked the edges with Shabby Shutter distress ink. The patterned papers are from My Minds Eye Stella and Rose collections called Hazel and Gertie. I stamped the sentiment from Happiness Is from SP & Company on some green cardstock with Vintage Photo and Chipped Sapphire distres ink. I used some paper flowers from Colorbok "Flea Market" punch out flower pad with a Colorbok fabric brad top for the flower center. Thanks for looking.

Another Challenge

I decided to give the Simon Says Stamp challenge a try and you were to use 3 different papers. I chose to use a piece of patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue paper collection in a pretty pink pattern and then on top of that I placed a piece of vellum paper from the Websters Pages vellum and diecut kit. I used a wonderful digital image that I received from here. I used a piece of paper from My Minds Eye "Follow your Heart" Be Happy paper collection which is one of the newest CHA releases. I used my Fiskars scalloped sentiment punch and added some pieces of that under the image. I colored the image in with my Copic markers. I received one of the newest Fiskar/Jenni Bowlin punch which was called "Grandma's Doily" in size M in a RAK from the Fiskateer message board so I decided to create a small embellishment for this card. I used a brad from the Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue collection in the center of the doil. Thanks for looking.

Challenge Card

I was very excited to use my new SP&Company stamps that I received with my February monthly kit. It is one of the newest stamp set releases called "Pure Happiness". There is a challenge going on at the SP Stamp blog that called for "distress stamping" so I used my Frayed Burlap and Vintage Photo distress inks along with my Tim Holtz distresser on the edge of the papers. The image is a digital image that I got here from Digi Darla which has the cutest digital images. The patterned paper I used was from Echo Parks This and That "Charming" paper collection that was included in the SP & Company February kit. I used some Recollections pearls along the top by the sentiment that came from the Pure Happiness SP & Company stamp set. Thanks for looking.

Challenge Card

I found a very fun challenge blog called "Use It Tuesday". They are having a birthday celebration going on and you can find them here. I also love completing challenges for Simon Says Stamps which is located here and their challenge for the week is "Anything Goes". So I decided to quit hoarding the paper stack from My Mind's Eye that is their Kraft Funday collection. I used the "Happy Days" and "Everyday Fun" patterned papers for the background of this card. I found this wonderful digital image from here. It was created by Fred She Said. I colored this adorable little boy with my Copic markers. The cardstock is from Papertrey Ink. I inked the edge of the digital image with my Festive Berries distress ink. I also decided to add a Basic Grey stitched brad that I had been hoarding. I did the sentiment on my computer using Word Art in my Word program. Thanks for looking.

I found a fun "LOVE is in the Air" challenge here. I thought this digital image that I received from here which was created by Melissa T Liban Illustrations. I colored the image with my Copics and stamped a branch from a stamps of life stamp set to hang these cute bears on. I added some Pebbles cloud stickers and the sentiment is from the Swirly Doo Valentine set from SP&Company which was their January kit. Thanks for looking.

Challenge Card

I found a fun challenge here which was a recipe challenge that needed to include: Torn Edges; Distress Inks; a Button and Some Wings. Here is the card I created using Echo Park "Yours truly" paper collection. I used my Tim Holtz edge distress on all the edges and inked them with Lipstick and Festive Berries distress inks. I colored the digital image that I received from here which was created by "Sew Many Cards". I colored the image in with my Copic markers. I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch. Some heart buttons from my stash. The ribbon slide is from Doodlebug. Thanks for looking.

SP Monthly release challenge

SP & Company did their new stamp release yesterday and they have some amazing new stamp sets. I cant wait to get my monthly kit and the goodies I ordered. I made a card for the challenge which was to use red and I also had fun with the stamp kissing technique that was for the SP challenge for last week. I used Echo Park "Yours truly" paper collection. The sentiments I used were from the Ultimate Sentiments II and the Swirly Doo Valentine SP & Company stamp sets. The inks I used were Spun Sugar and Festive Berries distress ink. The ice cream cone came from the scream4icecream set from Stamps of Life. Thanks for looking.

SWS stamping challenge

I love my SP&Company stamps. They are high quality and made in the USA. I love their monthly kit club and the fun challenges that they offer here. This week it was to use a technique called "Stamp kissing". I took the ice cream cone topper from the Scream4icecream stamp set from Stamps of Life and used a hero arts background stamp as the other stamp to kiss it to. I love the effect I came up with. The ink colors I used were Spun Sugar and Festive Berries distress ink. The patterned paper was from a previous monthly SP&Company kit from Echo Park "Yours truly". The sentiments I used were from the Ultimate Sentiments II SP&Company stamp set and also from the Swirly Doo Valentine SP&Company set. Thanks for looking

A challenge card

I am a member of the Fiskateer message board which is organized by Fiskars which is a great company that makes wonderful papercrafting supplies. It is their 45th birthday as a company so they are celebrating on the message board by having some fun challenge. They wanted us to make a birthday card and also something orange so I decided to combine the two and make a card. I used the wonderful new paper collection from My Minds Eye - Miss Caroline "Dolled Up". I used my Cuttlebug Fanciful labels folder and stamped a sentiment from the Ultimate Sentiments II stamp set from SP&Company using Iced Spruce distress ink. I found a piece of trim that I thought would be a lovely addition to the top and sprayed it with Canna Lily Burnt Orange starburst spray from Lindystamp Gang. I add some stickers that I felt matched this paper collection beautifully and they are from Creative Imaginations Narratives by Karen Russell. Thanks for looking.

Digital Progressive Challenge

I love the new digitial images for the progressive challenge going on here. The image I used is from Whimsy and Stars Studio. I love this cute scene. I colored it in with my Copic and Bic Mark-It Markers. The patterned paper that I used is from Crate Paper "Random" patterned paper pack. I used some of the green patterned paper for the hill. I used my Fiskars L Cloud squeeze punch to punch some clouds and pop dot them up for some added dimension. I also made a banner out of some of the Echo Park "Candy Shoppe" patterned paper and stamped a sentiment in Chipped Saphire distress ink using the Swirly Doo Valentine stamp set from SP & Company's January monthly kit. I thought this was the perfect sentiment for this little scene. I used some stickles on the heart on the front of the house. Thanks for looking.

Progressive Challenge Card

I got my new digital images from here. The image I chose to use on this card is from Lauretta's Digital Stamps. The cardstock card is from Papertrey Ink. I used the Echo Park Candy Shoppe striped paper in the brown and pink. The plaid paper is from my stash and I don't know the manufacturer. I used my Fiskars scalloped sentiment border punch on the light blue patterned paper. I colored the images in with Copics: RV02, E50 & V15 and also Bic Mark-It markers. I used some Martha Stewart pink gernamum ink to ink around the image. I placed some Heidi Grace accent hearts on the image. I used ribbon from my stash and the pink ribbon flower is from a trim that I purchased from Hobby Lobby last year. I used Silver Ice stickles to color in the whipped topping on the image. The sentiment is from the Swirly Doo Valentines stamp set from SP&Company which was their January kit.

Challenge Card

I received a great digital webiste and they do a super fun challenge plus they give you a really cute digital image to use for the challenge. This card also qualifies for the challenge here which is to make a called with an animal and the challenge is called "Animal Antics". I used Crate Paper "Random" patterned paper and DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies for this Valentine card. The sketch was one I found from a blog feed and comes from www.kgiron.blogspot.com. I colored the digi image with my Copic markers: E57, RV02,
RV14, #50 and also some Bic Mark It markers. I also used Worn Lipstick Distress stickles on the heart. I used Colorbox Razzberry ink for the sentiment along with my Swirly Doo Valentines from my SP&Company January monthly kit. Thanks for looking.
