Digi Darla's weekly challenge

I love the great digital images that you can find at DigiDarla's and they have great weekly challenges. This week the challenge is "Lets Celebrate". They are also having an open design team call to which I have applied. The "Let's celebrate" was the perfect thing to make a birthday card for my dear friend whose birthday is today. It is going to be late but hope she feels it was worth the wait. I used the My Minds Eye -Indie Chic "Saffron" paper and cut them into scraps. I used some vintage lace between the pieces of paper. I colored this adorable image from DigiDarla with my Copic and Bic markers. I inked the edges of the image with chalk ink. I stamped a birthday sentiment from the SP&Company stamp set called "Bold Sentiments II-Birthdays" onto a circle that I punched out using my Fiskars Squeeze punch. I inked the edge of the circle using chalk ink also. Thanks for looking. If you love digital stamps you definitely want to check out the store at DigiDarla's.

Progressive Challenge

I love receiving digital images from here and making cards with them. The theme this time is "Summer Sizzles". I created a card using the adorable little girl image. I loved coloring her with my Copic markers. I used the Echo Park patterned paper called "Sweet Day" for this card. I felt that the image said it all and nothing else was needed. Thanks for looking.

DigiDarla's Weekly Challenge

Well I LOVE completing challenges for DigiDarla which you can find here. They have the most adorable images and very fun challenges. This week's challenge is using a sketch created by Karen Wilson. They are also having an open call for their design team which is truly exciting. I used this fun birdhouse image. The cardstock that I used is from Recollections and has kind of a distressed look to it. I used some patterned paper from Echo Park "Sweet Day". I cut out the digital image with a scalloped circle die and colored the image with my Copic markers. I added a piece of ribbon from my stash around one end of the scalloped circle and added 2 flowers that I made using a flower punch. I added some pearls to the center of each flower. The sentiment stamp comes from SP&Company and is called "Bold SentimentsIII" Birthdays. I cut the sentiment out in a banner shape. Thanks for looking.

Digi Darla's Weekly Challenge

The challenge this week on DigiDarla's is a photo inspiration challenge. You are to create a card with a DigiDarla image after looking and receiving inspiration from the photo on their blog. I loved making this card because it allowed me to play with some of my new goodies and tools. I saw right away the brown, blue and teal colors. I noticed the pattern in the floor and duplicated that in my ribbon. I used my new We R Memory Keepers sew ribbon in the weave pattern and weaved in some American Crafts ribbon. I noticed the flowers and the fun triangluar shaped fancy ornate piece in the top right corner. I decided to dupiclate that using my new Martha Stewart clay and molds and made some ornate triangle pieces for the corners. I love this adorable DigiDarla image with the butterfly. I decided to use my Martha Stewart punch and pop the butterfly up off the card. I used my Oval Stak from MFT to cut out the image. The floral paper is from the Echo Park "Hello Summer" paper pack. The sentiment is from my SP&Company April stamp set called "Stichery Doo Banners". I inked around the edges of the image with my Tim Holtz distress inks in Brushed Corduroy and Walnut Stain.

Progressive Digital Challenge

I love receiving fun digital images from here to use in my projects. The images this time were perfect because I needed to make some baby cards. We had a friend who just had a little girl after already having 3 boys. I chose to use the adorable sock monkey. I used the Echo Park "Hello Summer" paper pack that was in my April SP&Company set. The label that the sentiment is on is a MFT stamp and die set. The actual sentiment is from the SP&Company set called Stichery Doo Banners which was also part of the April kit. I used some stickles to make a little glitter because what girl doesn't love a little bling. I added a flower that I bought from Pick Your Plum daily deal site and a button from my stash. Thanks for looking.

Digi Darla's weekly challenge

The challenge this week at DigiDarla's is "Thinking of you". I couldn't resist using this adorable little girl image that is a wonderful freebie at DigiDarla's site. I used a sketch that I had saved in my sketch book. The patterned papers were from the Echo Park "Hello Summer" collection. This is from the latest SP&Company monthly kit. I used a sentiment stamp from my stash. The metal flower in her hair is from Making Memories and I colored her in with my Copic markers. Thanks for looking.

Father's Day card

I seem to have a hard time with masculine cards but Stampers Best has so many wonderful masculine images to chose from in their store. I loved this vintage tractor image so I decided to make a card using it for a Father's Day card. It will be bittersweet this year as my Father-in-law passed away in February so I will think of him on this day and miss him. I used a sentiment stamp from my stash for this card. I used a Sizzix die for the background and some patterned paper. Thanks for looking.

Stampers Best Card

I absolutely LOVE stamps from this company. They offer great customer service, wonderful products and so many incentives to their customers to use and display their products. This newest release was truly amazing. I was so inspired when I saw this love bench stamp and sentiment that I sat down that night and created a card using it. I used some cardstock from stash and cut out some patterned paper using my dies. I love how this card turned out. I also added some bling and 3D flower stickers. Thanks for looking.
