May Challenge on SeemaCrafts blog

I found a new place to get digital images here and this month's theme is "Butterflies and Rainbows".  You can play along if you wish and the information is on the blog here.

 I started with an Stampin UP card base in A2 size.  I added some Echo Park patterned paper with polka dots.  I stamped out a flower stamp from my collection and colored the stems with my Copic markers.  I then used the butterfly digital image from Seemacrafts and used my Stickle collection to glitter in the wings and give them some sparkle and dimension.   I added a sentiment from a rubber stamp in my collection as well that talked about love and butterflies.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento black ink on a Spellbinder die and added to the top left hand side of the card.  I added some Recollections heart pearl trim to the top of the card as well.  Thanks for looking.

Sushi Doll DT projects

I have been on the design team for SushiDolls for awhile now. If you love digital images then you need to go check out the adorable ones that Susi has for sale here. They are very reasonable at the price of only $3.00 per images and they are yours to use as many times as you would like. I love how easy digital images are to use and very fun to color.

I used the "Let's Celebrate" image. I colored her in using my Copic markers and chose a red, white, blue theme since she is holding a firework. I added some frosted lace Stickles to the white part of her dress. I cut out the Sushi image with my scalloped Spellbinders. I then took a piece of A perfect Summer Echo Park patterned paper and used my scalloped octagon Spellbinder. I like how the scalloped Octagon looks behind the scalloped circle. I added some red Versamagic chalk ink to the edges of the scalloped circle to set off the image.

The card base is a 5 X 7 white cardstock. I then adhered some striped patterned paper that I got from my scrap drawer. I adhered the scalloped Octagon on the top with the image on top of that. I then added a strip of blue washi tape to the bottom of the card. I then took some red lace that I received in a RAK and hot glued it on my card right above the washi tape. I then took some beautiful blue trim that I got from Micheals and hot glued that onto the top of the red lace.

I then took my fancy label Spellbinder die and cut out some blue cardstock. I took my Celebrate Studio G stamp and embossed it in red on the blue label. I then took 2 red Queen and Company pearls and adhered them to the very ends of the label. Thanks for looking.



This is the second card that I created using the Sushi doll image called "Maria". She is so adorable. I started out with a 5 X 7 white cardstock base. I added some beautiful patterned paper from K & Company. I added some gorgeous ribbon across the top of the card that I received from my Aunt Bev and then a strip of gorgeous butterfly washi tape that was holding a package together that I received. I cut out a Spellbinders Medallion and added that on top of the ribbon and washi tape. I made a rosette using My Favorite Things die and added a gold button to the center of it. I then placed the rosette on top of the Medallion using some foam tape.

I cut out my new Greeting Farm gate die using some black cardstock and placed on my card right above the scallops. I then colored the image using my Copics. I added some gold stickles to her crown and some blue stickles to the bodice of her dress and to the hem. I added the Maria image to the the card using foam tape. Thanks for looking.

Digi Darla Challenge

I so LOVE DigiDarla images to use and color. The challenge for this week is "Snow Fun with Bling". You can find the challenges here. I first took this adorable snowman image and colored it in. I decided that I wanted to make a shaker box so I created the window with some acetate and my Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A and B. I used some fun hats and heart confetti that I had in my stash. It is actually supposed to be for weddings but I figured it was cute since the snowman always wears a hat. I then cut out a sheet of Echo Park This and That Christmas patterned paper with my Resplendent Rectangle Spellbinders. I then cut the center of it out and used it to frame the window. I added some red flowers from my stash along with some Doodlebug bling to one flower. I added some sequin trim that I received in a RAK around the edge of the frame. I used some white standard cardstock for the base and then I glued on a piece of script print from the Echo Park This and That Christmas paper pad. I then glued the shaker box on top of that. Sweet & Sassy Digi Challenge

I love the digital images you find at Sweet & Sassy and they have great challenges here. The latest one is a shaped card. I love the cocoa mouse images. I used my newest Spellbinder dies called "Resplendent Rectangles" to create a fun shaped card. I cut the Echo Park Winter Wishes patterned paper using another one of those dies to find on top of the card base. I colored in the Cocoa mouse image with my markers and stickled him up. I stamped out a tag from the SP&Company Handmade Holiday Gift tags stamp set and then I stamped the holiday sentiment from that same set onto the tag. Thanks for looking

Sweet & Sassy Digital Challenge

The digital challenge this week here is a Tic-Tac-Toe board and you need to pick at least three of the things to use on your card. I love their adorable little mouse images. I chose to use the one in the cocoa cup with the marshmellows and candy cane except I decided to cut of the candy cane because the red/white wouldn't fit in with the colors I used. I used the DCWV Linen Clost paper stack and my adorable sketch came from tsunamirosedesigns.blogspot.com. I chose to emboss, use a die-cut and button. I used my Spellbinder die called "Teardrop Circles" for the scalloped background. I cut a banner out of the paper and then placed the adorable mouse image on top. I used a Fiskar stamp set for the sentiment and punched it out with my Fiskar scalloped oval squeeze punch. I added a button and some dew drops by the sentiment. TFL

Sweet n Sassy Digital Challenge

If you LOVE digital images you really should check out this cute shop to buy adorble images. They are called Sweet'n'Sassy and they offer challenges on a regular basis. I love using digital images so I like their digital challenge blog. The challenge for this week is "Hip to be Square". I decided to use the adorable "Fenton" frog image. I colored him in with my new Letraset Flex markers that I am LOVING. They have brush tips and are very similar to the Copics except they are a whole lot cheaper. I used patterned paper from the Echo Park "This & That Christmas" paper stack. I punched out the squares using my scalloped EK Success punch and my square Fiskar squeeze punch. It was a very fun card to create. I used my new Spellbinder tag dies for the sentiment. I added some bling that I had in my stash that was purchased at Tuesday Morning. Thanks for looking.

DigiDarla Weekly Challenge

The challenge this week at DigiDarla is "add a little sunshine" and you need to add some red, oranges and/or yellows to your projects. Here is the card I created using this adorable flower image from DigiDarla. I used the Echco Park "This & That Christmas" patterned papers. I used my Spellbinders Label 5 and 8 to cut out around the image and the background papers. I used my Fiskar Upper Crest border punch to add a punched border along the bottom. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts Friends clear stamp set along with the butterflies. I used a Dress It Up butterfly button to embellish the flower image. I used some washi tape and orange floral decorative tape under the label and above the border. TFL

Digital Progressive Challenge

I love using digital images and this site has such fun challenges with adorable images that are ongoing. Please check them out and join in the fun. I loved this particular image because this last year was my daughters first time to raise a pig for our county fair. I will enjoy using this fun image again on projects and especially when I make up the scrapbook pages for her adorable pigs. I used patterned paper from the DCWV "Linen Closet" stack and I used one of my EK Success "Real Estate sign" to punch out just a small corner that I added on opposite corners after inking with some distress ink. I loved this cute heart scalloped border punch and thought it would be cute under the image and as part of the dirt. I used a label die and I printed out the sentiment from my computer. Stampers Best Card

I absolutely LOVE stamps from this company. They offer great customer service, wonderful products and so many incentives to their customers to use and display their products. This newest release was truly amazing. I was so inspired when I saw this love bench stamp and sentiment that I sat down that night and created a card using it. I used some cardstock from stash and cut out some patterned paper using my dies. I love how this card turned out. I also added some bling and 3D flower stickers. Thanks for looking.

Digital image card

I used a digital image from here to create this fun flowerly card. I cut the image out with my Spellbinders Teardrop Circle die. I then distressed the edges with my Walnut Stain distress ink and then added some Frayed Burlap. I colored the flowers using my distress inks and a colorless blender pen. The butterfly was fussy cut from a piece of Webster's Pages designer paper. I used some recollections bling beside the sentiment that I stamped from a Fiskars Peel and Stick stamp set. I also added some rain dot flowers from Cloud 9 around the bling. Thanks for looking.

Digital challenge card

I decided to use this cute bunny image from here. I used some patterned paper from my scrap stash. I used a Spellbinders label die and cut a couple of those to layer together. I also used my scallop border die from My Favorite things and placed it behind the label. I also cut out a Spellbinder's Shapabilities die and put it at the bottom of the card and stamped my sentiment from a Fiskar Simple Stick sentiment stamp set. I used some arylic wheatsprays that I bought from Etsy along with some flowers from my stash. I made the cute butterfly in the corner using my Martha Stewart silicone mold and pouring UTEE in my Melting pot and coloring it with some Lindy Stamp Gang Starburst Spray.

Digital Challenge Card

I love the digital images that you can find at DigiDarla's. She also has a blog with very fun challenges that you can find here. I also noticed that at SweetStamps the challenge is also "Think Spring". This card definitely qualifies for both challenges. I used an adorable DigiDarla image and colored her in with my Copics. I used my labels 22 die to cut a piece of patterned paper from the Echo Park "This & That" Charming paper collection which I used as a background for my image. I used some Martha Stewart ink around the edges of the image. I used a fun stamp in the background that I received from Stampersbest.com and it is from a set called Ornamental Grunge Tags which I stamped with Versamark ink and then used some Magical Mica poweder from Lindy Stamp Gang to make it shine. The tag that I used to put at the bottom is also from that same stamp set. I used some flower brads from my stash and some rhinestones. I stamped the sentiment from the SP& Company stamp set called "Pure Happiness". I also added some flowers that I received today in a RAK from a fellow Youtuber (mommy24cs). Thanks for looking.

Digital Challenge card

I love receiving digital images from here to use on my projects. It is a progressive challenge that goes on for quite some weeks and some one is lucky enough to win a prize. I loved this little girl image that Back to Paper created. I colored her in with my Copics and used some of my favorite My Mind's Eye patterned paper from the Follow My Heart set. I used a paper flower from my stash, a Spellbinders flower that I diecut and a flower pearl from SaCrafters store. I also added a paper flower from my stash on her belt. Thanks for looking.

Simon Says challenge card

The challenge this week on Simon Says which you can find here is "Anything Goes".I decided to use an adorable "Country Boy" digi that I got from Digi Darla and you can find her here with some amazing digital images for sale and even a few freebies. The background cheveron patterned paper is from my SP&Company's monthly kit and is from the Echo Park "This & That" Charming paper pad. The blue star patterned paper is from one of the newest My Minds Eye collections called "Follow Your Heart" the Be Amazing collection. I cut the digital image out using my Spellbinders Label 8 die and then I glued it onto a piece of Cloud 9 Riley Bay collection paper and cut around it. I inked the edges of the digital image with my Old Paper distress ink and colored the image in with my Copics. I decided to use one of the great sentiments from the newest SP&Company stamp set called "Sympathy and Care". I love how these sentiments can mean so many things and be used for lots of different purposes. I have NEVER been disappointed yet with any of the monthly stamp sets. They are all so usable and versatile. If you haven't yet heard of SP&Company you really should check them out here.

Challenge Card

I recently discovered a fun blog called "Use It Tuesday" where they pose a challenge of some kind and you need to use the things that we all tend to hoard. The theme was "Baby" for this week and so I decided to join in and create a card that I can use because I have a friend who has 3 little boys and is now expecting a girl. I used some Coredinations cardstock as the base. I then glued down a piece of velum paper that I had been hoarding from the K&Company Handmade speciality paper packs. I used my Spellbinders pinking circle dies and cut them out with white cardstock and then I used some of my twine that I had purchased off Etsy for the large brown one. The pink twine is some that I received from my monthly SP&Company kits that is sold in their store. I then added a Tim Holtz idealogy flower button to the brown circle and heart buttons from my stash for the pink circles. I had been hoarding this Tim Holtz button because it is just so pretty but Simon Says stamp & show blog is having an ideaology challenge this week so I figured I might as well use it on this card. The sentiment was from my SP&Company set called "Ultimate Sentiment II" set and was stamped with Colorbox razzberry ink.

Challenge card

I decided to create a card using a cute digital image from here. The sentiment that I stamped was from my monthly SP&Company stamp kit and it is called "Sympathy and Care". I thought it went perfectly with this image. I decided to emboss the sentiment because there is a challenge going on here which calls for embossing. I like how it makes the sentiment stand out on my card. I used some Mustard Seed distress ink to ink around the edges of the digital image. I cut around the digital image using a Spellbinders labels die. I colored in the image with my Copic markers. I used some yellow ribbon from my stash to tie around the card behind the image. The patterned papers I used were from the Echo Park -"This and That"-Charming collection from my monthly SP&Company kit. I used some clouds that I punched out of a paper scrap using my Fiskars cloud squeeze punch. Thanks for looking.

Market Street Stamp Block Party challenge

I have never tried any stamps from this company before but I follow a blog of one of their designers and they have some cute stamps. I joined in the block party and received their adorable digital stamp to play with. Here is the card that I created using the Big Scalloped Rectangles LG Spellbinder dies to cut out my digital images that I printed on cardstock. I then inked the edges with Shabby Shutter distress ink. The patterned papers are from My Minds Eye Stella and Rose collections called Hazel and Gertie. I stamped the sentiment from Happiness Is from SP & Company on some green cardstock with Vintage Photo and Chipped Sapphire distres ink. I used some paper flowers from Colorbok "Flea Market" punch out flower pad with a Colorbok fabric brad top for the flower center. Thanks for looking.
