SP&Company Trends challenge

The challenge on the SP&Company blog for Trends is "Washi Tape". I decided to try something a little different this time. I stamped out the sunshine and the cloud from the "Sunshine Emma" stamp set which is February's kit of the month. I stamped out Emma and paper pieced her dress with some of the patterned paper from the kit this month which was "Sweet Girl" from Echo Park. I stamped out in some red ink the sunglasses from the stamp set and popped them up with foam tape.


I decided to make clouds with washi tape so I added strips of washi tape that went with the honeycomb patterns in the paper strip that I placed along the bottom of the card to a piece of white cardstock. When I got all the washi tape adhered in strips across the white paper I took my Fiskars cloud squeeze punch and punched out some washi tape clouds. I really like how they turned out. I then added one down flat by the sunshine and the other one I popped up using foam tape. Thanks for looking.

Double Take Tuesday

I decided to do the Double Take Tuesday challenge on the Greeting Farm blog which was a sketch challenge this week. I used an A2 size white cardstock base for my card. I added strips of patterned paper from the "Sweet Girl" patterned paper pack from Echo Park. I used a Sizzix Vintage cabinet die to cut out the green patterned paper. I stamped a sentiment from "Sunshine Emma" stamp set and I used Blush Babette which is a Greeting Farm stamp as my main focal image. I colored her in with my Copic markers. I added 3 flowers from Craftsupplies1 to the lower left hand corner of my card using glue dots. Thanks for looking.

Farm Fresh Challenge

This week on the Greeting Farm blog the "Farm Fresh" challenge is to use flowers. I used the adorable Gracie image and colored her up with my Copic markers. I used some of the "Sweet Girl" Echo Park patterned paper to paper piece her dress. My card base is an A2 size white cardstock. I added a piece of pink patterned paper from "Sweet Girl" Echo Park patterned paper to the top of the cardstock. I then added a border strip from the same paper collection across the top of the pink paper that says "You are Loved". I adhered a piece of beautiful pink trim from craftsupplies1 on Etsy along with three flowers from that same Etsy shop. I then added the Gracie image to the bottom right hand side of my card using foam tape. Thanks for looking.

SP&Company Color Challenge #135

The SP&Company Color challenge for this week is: Hot Pink, Aqua, Dark Brown and yellow. This combination is definitely NOT one that I would use but I like how the colors looked together. I chose some Echo Park patterned papers from my stash for the top and bottom of the card. I used some yellow cardstock and punched my EK Success scroll border punch. I then added a strip of brown cardstock behind that. I used my Real Estate EK Success punch to punch out a piece of cardstock in Aqua color and then I stamped the sentiment from the "Happy Banners" stamp set which was the January kit set. I distressed the edges with distress ink and popped it up from the card with some foam tape. I cut out a circle from some brown cardstock using my Fiskar circle punch and then I cut out a scalloped circle from some Hot pink cardstock using my Fiskar scalloped squeeze punch. I stamped the flower from the "For every Woman" set in Memento black ink on the scalloped circle. I then adhered the scalloped circle onto the brown cardstock circle. I added some stickles to the center of the flower. Thanks for looking.

Greeting Farm "Retro" Challenge

The Greeting Farm "Retro" challenge this week is to use hearts. I had this adorable patterned paper from Colorbok that I thought would be perfect with the adorable Ian Greeting Farm stamp. I used the patterned heart paper along with a strip of coordinating blue cardstock on the left hand side. I colored up the Ian stamp with my Copic and Distress markers. I used my Fiskar scallop punch to cut out a piece of the teal cardstock and then added a piece of white cardstock that I punched with my Fiskar circle punch and I wrote the words "with love" on the white circle. Digi Darla challenge

I love the adorable Digi images that you find at DigiDarla's and this weeks challenge is "Be My Valentine". I love coffee and so I decided to use this adorable mug image wherre the steam is creating a heart. I had some other great coffee stamps that went along with this theme so I was able to add the perfect sentiment of "I Love you a Latte".

I used an A2 size card base and added a piece of designer paper from the Paris Girl by Carta Bella. I used a small strip of the pink script paper along the bottom of the card right above some beautiful lace trim that I got from Craftsupplies1 on Etsy. I added some pearl trim along the top and bottom of the paper strip which also came from Craftsupplies1. I used some coffee tickets that I stamped out and colored with my Copic markers. I added the tickets and a paper flower from Craftsupplies1 to the bottom left hand corner of the paper strip. I adhered the DigiDarla image to my card with pop dots to give it some added dimension. I stamped out a coffee bean border in the upper left hand section of the card and then popped my sentiment up on some pop dots as well. Thanks for looking.

A February Challenge

I discovered a great blog that has fun digital images and challenges to go along with it. The freebie offered this month was an adorable Sewing Jar. I love hearts so this was such a cute image to have. I had so much fun coloring it with my Copic markers and I even added a piece of real lace trim that I got from craftsupplies1 on etsy.com to the design where it looked like a scallop trim.

I took a white A2 size card base and added a piece of cardstock from the Echo Park "Scoot" collection to the front of the card just a 1/4" smaller than the card front. I adhered the Sewing jar image onto my card on the right hand side with pop dots for added dimension. I added a strip of vintage seam binding in green onto the bottom of my card and then added two lace trims from Craftsupplies1 on Etsy on top of that. I added 2 beautiful purple flowers and a green flower that I distressed with my Peeled Paint distress ink onto the left hand bottom corner of my card. The flowers and the wheat spray that I added came from Craftsupplies1 on Esty. I used a sewing stamp set that I got with my monthly Cardmaker magazine to stamp out the little thread card and then I wrapped some twine from my stash around it. I used the sentiment from the same sewing stamp set. Thanks for looking.

Great Healthy Food

If you have never heard of this brand and are into healthy food that is good for your body you really should check it out. This brand of wonderful products can be found at your local Kroger or Fred Meyer stores. I really try to eat healthy and be aware of the type of food that I am putting into my body. I believe it will operate and help me to feel better if I take care of it and watch what I eat.

SP & Company Trends Challenge

SP & Company have started offering Trends challenges and this is the third one which has the theme of Hearts!! I LOVE hearts and Valentines Day so I had to complete this challenge. I used one of the 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 corrugated card bases from Michaels. I added a beautiful piece of patterned paper from Websters Pages. I used a piece of vintage lace trim that has hearts on it along the top of my card. I colored in this wonderful digital image that is free from SP&Company store. I added a delicate pearl trim which I received from craftsupplies1 on Etsy. I cut out some Webster Pages patterned paper using my Tim Holz heart dies and added them to the center of the card. Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday Challenge

The challenge on the Greeting Farm's Farm Fresh Friday is to use "baker's twine and buttons". You can find the challenge here. I used a standard A2 size card and inked the edges of the cardstock with Victorian Velvet distress ink. I added a piece of Webster's page patterned paper that is inked around with Aged Mahogany distress ink. I added a piece of vintage lace along the bottom of the card along with some buttons from my stash that I put some green bakers twine through. I then colored up this Anya Styles with my distress markers that perfectly matched the floral background. I used a Copic marker to do the hair on Anya and then I paper pieced her phone with some of the same patterned paper. I added some recollections heart bling to her top and her purse. I used some black enamel accents on her boots to make them shiny. I then added some foam tape to the back of Anya and placed her on my card. I wrapped some brown twine along the left hand side of the card and tied a bow. Thanks for looking.

Marker Pop Challenge

I love MarkerPop store because they sell Copics for a great price and so many adorable stamps to use your Copics on. They have a great blog with wonderful inspiration and challenges. The challenge this week is adding texturing on your stamped images with your markers. I chose to use this adorable LaLa Land Marci stamp set so I could color in the panda bear with some texturing. I just used dots when coloring to make it look like there was some texutre to the fur of the bear.

The card is a standard A2 size card. I cut a piece of patterned paper from the Echo Park "Scoot" collection a 1/4 inch smaller than my cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card. I used some dainty heart lace from my stash along on the top of the card. I colored the image in with my Copic markers and adhered her to the card with some foam tape. I added a strip of tan paper from my scrap bin along on the bottom of the card along with a button from my stash that has some twine in the holes. The bottom right hand corner has a large flower from my stash and 2 blue flowers from craftsupplies1 on etsy which I curled the stems on. I used my EK Success real estate sign punch and punched out one on some aqua cardstock and then I took a piece of polka dot paper and punched out another one. I then cut the polka dot one in half and glued each half to the back of the plain piece so it looked like I had matted it. I used the sentiment that came with the stamp set on a piece of the same tan paper and I cut it out using half of the same punch. Thanks for looking.

Saturated Canary Color Challenge

I love the images that are available at Saturated Canary. These week they have a very fun color challenge. I loved using colors that I wouldn't normally think to put together and making a card. I used a kraft cardstock base from Recollections which measures 7 X 10 folded in half. The patterned papers are from Echo Park. I used a piece of organza ribbon in the center which I then tied in a bow on the right hand side. I colored the image with my Copic markers. I attached a string of flat back pearls to the left hand side of the card. I inked the edges of the image using my Copic marker in a color that matched the paper and my image. I added the sentiment using my SP&Company stamp set called "Happy Banners". Thanks for looking.

SP&Company Color Combo Challenge

The SP&Company blog has lots of fun challenges and one of them is a Color Combo challenge and this week's Combo is 134 which is to use pink, red, and kraft. This was a very fun color combination. I started out with a basic kraft A2 size card base that already had red and pink hearts printed on it from Recollections. I added a scalloped pink piece of cardstock that is 1/4" smaller. I added some beautiful patterned paper from the Echo Park "Love Story" collection that is 1/4" smaller than the scalloped piece. I inked around the scalloped cardstock with a pink chalk ink. I took some red polka dot ribbon and pleated it using my glue gun and then added a strand of flat back pearls on the top. I colored up the Emmma image from the SP&Company stamp set called "In love Emma" with my Copic markers. I decided to have her hold a chipboard heart shape from Basic Grey. I added a piece of heart lace on the top of the scalloped piece and added another chipboard piece from Basic Grey in the upper left hand corner. I used pop dots behind Emma. The sentiment is from the newest SP&Company stamp set called "
Happy Banners". Thanks for looking.
