Scrapbook Layout Challenge

I received this sketch challenge in an email from "Lasting Memories". If you want to see the information and sketch click here. I used various patterned papers from my scrap bins and had so much fun creating this fun layout of my son. The photo was taken a couple of years ago when he attended a fun summer camp. The silver foil circle was re-purposed. It was the lid of a round metal food container from the dollar store in which I used the container but not the lid. I am happy with how this layout turned out. I used the Cosmo Cricket wood grain letters from a set called "Boyfriend" and also Thickers for the title. The washi tape across the bottom of the layout was sent to me by a dear fellow crafter on Youtube. It is always fun to receive scrappy goodies in the mail. Thanks for looking.

Message Board challenge

I am part of a very fun message group of fellow crafters called the fiskateers. You can find them at www.fiskateers.com. It is a group that the Fiskars craft company has made for crafters to share their opinions, ideas and inspiration in the crafting world. I love that they offer online crops and challenges to keep us crafters inspired. They have Lead Fiskateers that help to lead us, keep us inspired, and even hold crafting events around the world. The term to be a Lead Fiskateer is for 2 years so the time is up and they have chosen new ones. So this weekend there was a Thank you crop going on with challenges. The last challenge was to make 4 Thank you cards and I would like to share with you the cards I created using my new favorite My Mind Eye Indie Chic paper collection. I love all of them but this time I chose to use the "Nutmeg" one. The stamp set that I chose to use was the "Thanksfor1year" set from Stamps of Life. I used my Fiskar circle punch for each card. The ribbon is all from my stash and various manufacturers. The velvet ribbon is from Stampin Up. Thanks for looking.

CDC Drawing Challenge

I bought a couple of digital images that were the winners of the drawing challenge to use. I then completed a card using one of the images. I used the Sweet Nectar from K&Company on this card along with a small punched out border using my Scalloped Sentiment Fiskars punch and some Linen Closet paper from DCWV. I colored the image in with my Copics.

Guest Designer for DigiDarla

It has been very fun being a Guest Designer for DigiDarla during the month of June. This is the last challenge of the month and the theme is "Summer". I am very grateful for the opportunity and I will continue to create projects for their weekly challenges. I love their images and challenges that inspire me to create. I used some patterned paper from my scrap stash. I used a Stamps of Life stamp set for the sentiment that I stamped on a banner that I created. I cut out a surfboard using a Quickutz die. Thanks for looking.

Home Decor Project

I recently moved into a new scrapbook room and will have a video up shortly after I get all the wall decorations hung up. This is a canvas that I altered. This was my first attempt at a project like this. I painted the canvas with some scrapbooking brown paint from Making Memories. I then added some beautitful trim that I got from a fellow crafter on Facebook. The beautiful handmade paper flowers came from a fellow Youtuber Lydia whose channel is Itripledogdareu. I made a video telling about the products. You can find it here.

DigiDarla's weekly Challenge

The challenge this week at DigiDarla is "Layering UP". I love this adorable graduation image from DigiDarla. It was perfect for sending out some graduation cards to friends and family. I used my Fiskars "All Year Cheer" stamp set for the sentiment. The tags come from the My Favorite Things "Tradiational Tags Stax". I used some ribbon that I got from the Dollar Tree on the tag. I used some of my border punches to make layers underneath the image. Thanks for looking.

Scrap It Girl June challenge

The challenge this month at Scrap It Girl is to use your punches on a layout. I am very behind in my scrapbooking so I was glad for this challenge to help inspire me to get some layouts done. I have been wanting to get my cousins wedding photos put in my album so this was the perfect opportunity to do that. I used a Creative Memories heart punch, Martha Stewart heart button punch and two Fiskar heart squeeze punches for this layout. I also used a heart corner adorner punch. This was very fun challenge. I used American Crafts cardstock as the base. This was the original invitation that I received in the mail to let me know they were getting married. Thanks for looking.

Another challenge that DigiDarla is sponsering

There is another challenge site called Crafty Catz that DigiDarla is sponsering this week also. The theme for the week was "Summer" so I decided to complete the challenge since I had the perfect image that was waiting to be colored and made into a card. I colored the image with my Copics and used the Echo Park "Sweet Day" paper pad. I punched a couple of hearts out of the patterned paper using my Fiskar squeeze punch. I used my Real Estate EK Success punch and then stamped the sentiment using my latest SP & Company stamp set called "Bold Sentiments III-Birthdays" Thanks for looking.

Challenge that DigiDarla is sponsering

I decided to participate in a challenge that DigiDarla is sponsering this week. I LOVE DigiDarla's digital stamps. They are so cute and fun to color in. The challenge they are sponsering is being held here. It is called Card Makin Mamas and the challenge for the week is "Father's Day". I needed to make another Father's Day card so it worked out great to complete this challenge. I had cut a tie out using my Silhouette machine and decided to use that. I decorated it with some Trendy Tape from Queen & Company to add some stripes to the tie. I used an SP & Company stamp set called "Mix & Match: Family" to make the sentiment for the card. Thanks for looking.

Guest Designer Spot

I am very excited to announce that I was very lucky to get chosen to be a Guest Designer for the month of June for DigiDarla. If you LOVE digital stamps and haven't heard of DigiDarla, please go check them out here.. They have wonderful prices and extremely cute images to work with. They offer a blog which has weekly challenges and so I will be participating in them each Monday in June. This first week was a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge where there was a grid of 9 items and you had to chose 3 in a row either horizontally, vertically or diagonally. I chose to use Ribbon, Sewing, and flower. I decided that the adorable sewing image from DigiDarla would be perfect for this challenge. I colored her in with my Copic and Bic markers. I used my sewing templates to sew the swirly line on the left of the card with embroidery floss. I used the Echo Park "Sweet Day" paper collection because the birds on the paper matched beautifully with the one in the image. I used a piece of ribbon that I found at my local thrift store. The sentiment is from the latest SP&CO monthly kit stamp set called "Bolder Sentiments III - Birthdays". You can find the post annoucing my Guest Designer spot here on their blog.
