DT post for Little Blue Button Stamp

Hello ladies it is Marla H. (craftymarla.blogspot.com) and Marla H. on YouTube here for my DT day.  I chose to use Watering plants Ivy for my first card.  This is an adorable summer time image and so fun to color.    I chose a white 5 X 7 cardstock base.  I then added a piece of Pink Paislee pattern paper from the Spring Jubilee line that I got in a RAK to the base of the card.  I then adhered a Webster's Pages journaling card to the top left hand corner of the patterned paper.  I used my Grassy Edges My Favorite Things die to cut out some green cardstock and adhere to the bottom of the card.  I cut out the Greeting Farm fence die with some dark brown cardstock and added it in between the two layers of grass die cuts.  I colored the adorable Ivy with my markers, the list will be below the photo. I added waterfall stickles to the water drops.  I also added Spiced Marmalade stickles to her hair bow and flower on her hat. I used a technique on her hat to give it added texture that I learned from Amadoreros on YouTube.  It is to use some Copic blender refill or alcohol blending solution on a piece of paper towel and just dab it on the colored hat.  I really like the way it gives it more of a straw like texture.   I then added 3 small flowers that I purchased online in the bottom right hand corner of the card.  TFS

I used a white 5 X 7 card stock base.  I added a piece of patterned paper from My Minds Eye dwell to the card front.  I then cut out a banner of another piece of paper from the same collection and adhered it to the bottom of the card. I then glued on a Prima Lyric wood button to the banner.  I glued a Webster's page journaling spot card to the right hand side of the card with another journaling spot from Echo Park tucked in behind that.  I die cut the Well Worn Greetings My Favorite Thing die from another piece of the My Minds Eye "Dwell" patterned paper.  I took the Love Sentiments2 from Little Blue Button Stamps and die cut the sentiment with another one of the Well Worn Greetings die from My Favorite Things.  I inked the edges of the sentiment with peeled paint distress ink and glued to the other label die.  I colored up the adorable jar of hearts image with my markers.  The colors will be listed below the photo and then I added some frosted lace stickles to her belt and hair bow.  I added peeled paint distress stickles to the heart in her hair.  I then added some glossy accents to the jar to make it look more realistic.  Thanks for looking

DT day on Little Blue Button Stamps Blog

It is Marla H. here for my DT day and I chose to use the adorable Miss Lily Cup of Tea for my two cards.  I used some beautiful BoBunny C'est LaVie Collection that was given to me by Lydia (Itripledogdareu) on Youtube in a RAK.  I used  a white 5 X 7 card base and added a couple of different pieces of the patterned paper to the base.   I then took a piece of vintage lace from my collection and added it to where the seam of the two papers is.   I colored up the adorable Miss Lily with my Copic markers.  I used YR00, E50 and E53 for the skin.  I used E89, E47 and E79 for the hair.  I used some Ditto glitter glue on her shoes and hair bow.  I also added some glossy accents to her eyes and the tea.

I cut out a small table with my Silhouette cutting machine and then I placed a Kaisercraft wooden tea cup on the table.   I used a sentiment from a Sweet and Sassy stamp set.  

The second card for today was made using the same image.  I also used the very same paper pad.  I chose to use two different pieces of patterned paper again which I adhered to my 5 X 7 white cardstock base.  I used a beautiful vintage piece of heart trim from my stash where the seam of the papers was.  I then added a doily from my stash to the center of the card.  I colored up Miss Lily using my markers.  I used my ivory and dusty pink Promarker for the skin.  I used E11, E13, and E15 for her hair.  I used BG72 for the mug and added some glossy accents to the tea part.  I used R56 to color in her dress, bow, and shoes.  I then added some stickles to her shoes and bow.  I punched out a circle using my Fiskars circle punch on the patterned paper and stamped a sentiment from a Fiskar stamp set.  I then inked the edges of the circle with Tim Holtz aged mahogany distress ink and placed it on the doily.  I then took a couple of Studio Calico butterflies that I received in a RAK from NurseLarelle on YT.  

Greeting Farm "Farm Fresh Friday" Challenge

I love the Greeting Farm stamps and they have very fun challenges on their blog.  This Friday's challenge is the Great Outdoors.  I chose to use the Sitting Lovely stamp set.  I stamped the bench using Versamark ink and then embossed it with silver embossing powder.  I colored the girl with my Copic markers and paper pieced her boots and clothes with the Echo Park "Beautiful Life" patterned paper.  I used some Stickles on her hair barettes and popped her up on the bench using foam tape.

I used a piece of pink cardstock in the A2 size.  I cut a strip of grass using my Grassy Edges My Favorite Thing die and placed it underneath the bench.  I stamped out the flowers from the Sitting Lovely stamp set and then used my Broken China distress stickles to color them in.  I used the My Favorite Things postage Stamp Stax die to cut out a piece of the Echo Park "Beautiful Life" patterned paper and then stamped the sentiment from the stamp set.  Thanks for looking.

Design Team Projects for Little Blue Button Stamps

I chose to make two cards using the Rag Doll Sweetheart images.  You can find these adorable digital images here. The first card is a 5 X 7 white cardstock base.  I placed a striped patterned paper from the Beautiful Life Echo Park patterned paper pad.  I used a piece of the grey patterned paper along with one of the dies from the Floral Ribbon Threader Spellbinder set.   I also cut out the pink polka dot patterned paper with the border from the Floral Ribbon Threader spellbinder set and adhered it to the bottom of the card.  I placed a strip of lace underneath the scalloped rectangle and on top of the border piece.  I used the Textile Rectangle stamp and die set from My Favorite Things to make my sentiment.   I used a Studio Calico Mister Huey mist to spray some cardstock and then I die cut the Textile Rectangle die and then stamped the frame and sentiment.  I glued it to the top of the scalloped rectangle piece.  I put the Rag Doll Sweetheart with boots image on my card with foam tape to give it some dimension.  I colored this image in with my Copic markers.   I added some beautiful flowers that I received in a RAK to the bottom right hand corner of my card.

The second card I created is a standard A2 size pink cardstock.  I added patterned paper from the Beautiful Life Echo Park paper pad.  I added a one inch strip of the damask paper from that same collection.  I also added a small 1/2 inch strip to the left hand side of the card.  I used my Label stax die from My Favorite Things to cut out a red piece of patterned paper from that same collection.  I colored the Rag Doll Sweetheart Bag digital image with my Copics and placed on my card using foam tape to give it some dimension.  Thanks for looking.

SP & Company Recipe Challenge

SP&Company release online party 1 pm challenge was to use: patterned paper, image, flower, trim and a button. I used a piece of a purple patterned paper from my stash. I took my Fiskars scalloped punch and punched out a border with purple cardstock. I placed a piece of lace trim under the scalloped piece. I added a purple and yellow flower from my stash to the bottom of the paper strip and a purple button on the top left hand corner of the card. I stamped out the Sunshine Emma and colored her with my Copic markers. Thanks for looking.

SP&Company Trends challenge

The challenge on the SP&Company blog for Trends is "Washi Tape". I decided to try something a little different this time. I stamped out the sunshine and the cloud from the "Sunshine Emma" stamp set which is February's kit of the month. I stamped out Emma and paper pieced her dress with some of the patterned paper from the kit this month which was "Sweet Girl" from Echo Park. I stamped out in some red ink the sunglasses from the stamp set and popped them up with foam tape.


I decided to make clouds with washi tape so I added strips of washi tape that went with the honeycomb patterns in the paper strip that I placed along the bottom of the card to a piece of white cardstock. When I got all the washi tape adhered in strips across the white paper I took my Fiskars cloud squeeze punch and punched out some washi tape clouds. I really like how they turned out. I then added one down flat by the sunshine and the other one I popped up using foam tape. Thanks for looking.

Double Take Tuesday

I decided to do the Double Take Tuesday challenge on the Greeting Farm blog which was a sketch challenge this week. I used an A2 size white cardstock base for my card. I added strips of patterned paper from the "Sweet Girl" patterned paper pack from Echo Park. I used a Sizzix Vintage cabinet die to cut out the green patterned paper. I stamped a sentiment from "Sunshine Emma" stamp set and I used Blush Babette which is a Greeting Farm stamp as my main focal image. I colored her in with my Copic markers. I added 3 flowers from Craftsupplies1 to the lower left hand corner of my card using glue dots. Thanks for looking.

Greeting Farm "Retro" Challenge

The Greeting Farm "Retro" challenge this week is to use hearts. I had this adorable patterned paper from Colorbok that I thought would be perfect with the adorable Ian Greeting Farm stamp. I used the patterned heart paper along with a strip of coordinating blue cardstock on the left hand side. I colored up the Ian stamp with my Copic and Distress markers. I used my Fiskar scallop punch to cut out a piece of the teal cardstock and then added a piece of white cardstock that I punched with my Fiskar circle punch and I wrote the words "with love" on the white circle. Digi Darla challenge

I love the adorable Digi images that you find at DigiDarla's and this weeks challenge is "Be My Valentine". I love coffee and so I decided to use this adorable mug image wherre the steam is creating a heart. I had some other great coffee stamps that went along with this theme so I was able to add the perfect sentiment of "I Love you a Latte".

I used an A2 size card base and added a piece of designer paper from the Paris Girl by Carta Bella. I used a small strip of the pink script paper along the bottom of the card right above some beautiful lace trim that I got from Craftsupplies1 on Etsy. I added some pearl trim along the top and bottom of the paper strip which also came from Craftsupplies1. I used some coffee tickets that I stamped out and colored with my Copic markers. I added the tickets and a paper flower from Craftsupplies1 to the bottom left hand corner of the paper strip. I adhered the DigiDarla image to my card with pop dots to give it some added dimension. I stamped out a coffee bean border in the upper left hand section of the card and then popped my sentiment up on some pop dots as well. Thanks for looking.

A February Challenge

I discovered a great blog that has fun digital images and challenges to go along with it. The freebie offered this month was an adorable Sewing Jar. I love hearts so this was such a cute image to have. I had so much fun coloring it with my Copic markers and I even added a piece of real lace trim that I got from craftsupplies1 on etsy.com to the design where it looked like a scallop trim.

I took a white A2 size card base and added a piece of cardstock from the Echo Park "Scoot" collection to the front of the card just a 1/4" smaller than the card front. I adhered the Sewing jar image onto my card on the right hand side with pop dots for added dimension. I added a strip of vintage seam binding in green onto the bottom of my card and then added two lace trims from Craftsupplies1 on Etsy on top of that. I added 2 beautiful purple flowers and a green flower that I distressed with my Peeled Paint distress ink onto the left hand bottom corner of my card. The flowers and the wheat spray that I added came from Craftsupplies1 on Esty. I used a sewing stamp set that I got with my monthly Cardmaker magazine to stamp out the little thread card and then I wrapped some twine from my stash around it. I used the sentiment from the same sewing stamp set. Thanks for looking.

Marker Pop Challenge

I love MarkerPop store because they sell Copics for a great price and so many adorable stamps to use your Copics on. They have a great blog with wonderful inspiration and challenges. The challenge this week is adding texturing on your stamped images with your markers. I chose to use this adorable LaLa Land Marci stamp set so I could color in the panda bear with some texturing. I just used dots when coloring to make it look like there was some texutre to the fur of the bear.

The card is a standard A2 size card. I cut a piece of patterned paper from the Echo Park "Scoot" collection a 1/4 inch smaller than my cardstock and adhered it to the front of the card. I used some dainty heart lace from my stash along on the top of the card. I colored the image in with my Copic markers and adhered her to the card with some foam tape. I added a strip of tan paper from my scrap bin along on the bottom of the card along with a button from my stash that has some twine in the holes. The bottom right hand corner has a large flower from my stash and 2 blue flowers from craftsupplies1 on etsy which I curled the stems on. I used my EK Success real estate sign punch and punched out one on some aqua cardstock and then I took a piece of polka dot paper and punched out another one. I then cut the polka dot one in half and glued each half to the back of the plain piece so it looked like I had matted it. I used the sentiment that came with the stamp set on a piece of the same tan paper and I cut it out using half of the same punch. Thanks for looking.

Greeting Farm - Double Take Tuesdays

The challenge on the Greeting Farm blog is to use blue and yellow. Yellow is not a color that I use a lot or really like but I did enjoy this challenge. I used some teal patterned paper from my stash on the background of my card. I colored up the "Anya Treats" image with my Copic markers and added a pearl heart to the flower on her hat. I added some beautiful crochet lace from craftsupplies1 on etsy along with the two white paper flowers in the bottom left hand corner. The yellow flower is from recollections and I received it in a RAK. I made the stick pin with a yellow flower bead that I got from craftsupplies1 and added it behind the flowers. Thanks for looking.

SP Trends Challenge #2

I love the challenges that Samantha at SP&Company is having this year. The one for this weeks is to use Hexagons. You can find the challenge here. I do love this new trend and find it very fun to use hexagon pattern paper and I also have a hexagon die from My Favorite Things. I used a piece of patterned paper from Echo Park as my background piece of paper. The stamp that I used is a free digital image that is available from SP&Company at www.thescrapmaster.com in their online store. I loved coloring this adorable Emma in with my Copic markers. I used the My Favorite thing hexagon die to cut out the same Echo Park paper and then I stamped an alphabet stamp set to spell out the word "Love". I added the hearts from the SP&Company stamp set called "Tiny Build a Banner" that was a part of the December monthly kit. I also added 3 paper flowers that I received from Craftsupplies1 on etsy. Digi Darla Challenge

I so LOVE DigiDarla images to use and color. The challenge for this week is "Snow Fun with Bling". You can find the challenges here. I first took this adorable snowman image and colored it in. I decided that I wanted to make a shaker box so I created the window with some acetate and my Spellbinders A2 Matting Basics A and B. I used some fun hats and heart confetti that I had in my stash. It is actually supposed to be for weddings but I figured it was cute since the snowman always wears a hat. I then cut out a sheet of Echo Park This and That Christmas patterned paper with my Resplendent Rectangle Spellbinders. I then cut the center of it out and used it to frame the window. I added some red flowers from my stash along with some Doodlebug bling to one flower. I added some sequin trim that I received in a RAK around the edge of the frame. I used some white standard cardstock for the base and then I glued on a piece of script print from the Echo Park This and That Christmas paper pad. I then glued the shaker box on top of that. Saturated Canary Challenge

I love the Saturated Canary stamps and the digital images they offer. They also have challenges on their blog which you can find here. The challenge going on now is #32 and is "hot cocoa and marshmallows". I used the adorable "Latte" image that Krista drew. I colored her in with my Copic and Flex Letraset markers. I added some stickles to her scarf. My card base is a 5 X 8 card. I added 2 layers of cardstock and the top layer is patterned paper from the DCWV photo stack. I added part of a felt glitter snowflake and also a rectanular shaped paper doily that I cut in half. I added a crochet doily that I cut and recycled from a skirt. I add some purple and white arycllic flowers to the center and around the doily. I added a beautiful teal spray of flower underneath the doily. I popped the Latte image up with foam dots. DigiDarla's weekly challenge

I love the digital images that you find at DigiDarla's store and there is a challenge each week here. I have missed a few weeks of completing them with having a bad back and the holidays but so glad I got to do this week's which is "A Child's Christmas". I loved this image of the painted pony and snowman and I figured it would be perfect because what child especially a girl doesn't love ponies. I colored the image in with my Copic and Flex Letraset markers. I added a piece of patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye "Stella and Rose" Gertie papers. I inked around the image with some Colorbok chalk ink. I added some white opal colored Liquid Pearls for the snow on the ground. I stamped the sentiment from an Imaginenise stamp set. Digi Darla challenge

This week the challenge at DigiDarla is "Thinking of you/Sympathy". I chose the thinking of you. I used an adorable little girl image which I colored in with my Copics. The card base I cut out on my Silhouette die cutting machine. I added some green cardstock on the inside so it would show off the beautiful cut out flowers from the front of the card. I used Echo Park "For the Record 2" patterned paper on the front of the card. I added a piece of vintage lace from my stash along with a Fiskars sentiment stamp that I stamped using my Vintage Photo distress ink and then punched out with my Fiskars squeeze punch. I decided to use this fun penquin image because it looked so nice and summery. I created a birthday card using my latest SP&Company stamp set called "Swirly Doos" for the sentiment. I colored this adorable image with my Copics and Spectrum Noir markers. Thanks for looking.

DigiDarla's weekly Challenge

The challenge this week at DigiDarla is "Layering UP". I love this adorable graduation image from DigiDarla. It was perfect for sending out some graduation cards to friends and family. I used my Fiskars "All Year Cheer" stamp set for the sentiment. The tags come from the My Favorite Things "Tradiational Tags Stax". I used some ribbon that I got from the Dollar Tree on the tag. I used some of my border punches to make layers underneath the image. Thanks for looking.

Guest Designer for DigiDarla challenge

The challenge this week at DigiDarla is "Father's Day". I am a Guest Designer for the month of June. I loved this adorable Father DigiDarla image. I colored the image using my Copic markers. The patterned papers I used were from K&Company "Wild Raspberry" and Colorbok "Flea Market" papers. I used the Fanciful Labels in my Cuttlebug machine to make the label for my sentiment. The sentiment I stamped is using SP&Company stamp set called "Mix n Match "Family". Thanks for looking.
